Everyone who has tattoos gets them for different reasons. Personally i hate when people ask me what my tattoos mean, which is why i usually lie. The truth is, i get them for many reasons. i feel as though tattoos act as a dream catcher, theres something about the pain from a tattoo when your in pain, and what was causing your pain is forever trapped. perhaps its the adrenaline rush when you get a tattoo when your happy, and sometimes they act as a yearbook reminding you of who you were at the time, and or who you loved at the time. In the end, we all self medicate, and there can be alot of tattoos with alot of pain behind them, so dont ask the barer what it means, as if you are judging if their reasoning is suitable to you. acknowledge the beautiful art for what it is to you, not the other person.
